Data Sources

Word lists are sourced from open-source word frequency data:

• English: google-10000-english (MIT License)
• Other languages: FrequencyWords project by Hermit Dave (various open licenses)

Words are ranked by frequency of use in real-world text, ensuring you practice with the most useful vocabulary first.

How WPM is Calculated

WPM (Words Per Minute) is calculated using the standard formula: every 5 correctly typed characters counts as one "word". Only correctly typed words contribute to your WPM score.
